This girl really embodies the versatile nature of the breed and I am so proud of her.
You can see her amazing accomplishments broken down by year below. Annual Accomplishments and Notes2025
2024
Titles Earned
Well, we did it! Vedder earned her long overdue Grand Champion Bronze title at the Barrie Kennel & Obedience Club show in August 2024 under judge Sylvie Desserne from France. Vedder has been semi-retired from the show ring and is now spayed. She will be out and about on occasion in the Veteran and Altered rings, but we will focus more on playing in the performance sports. We are looking at finishing up some agility titles, and playing at the Veteran level until she decides she doesn't want to anymore. We are also going to begin to transition to her post-agility sports of nosework and Hoopers, both of which she has thoroughly enjoyed starting to learn about. We look forward to hopefully some trials in each sport in 2025! 2023
Titles Earned
We are diligently training to up our game in Agility for 2023 and hope to get out to a few trials this year to work on our further titles. We also hope to get back out in the Rally ring this year. Our first goal though is to finish Vedder's GCH Bronze in the conformation ring so that we can proceed with a spay. She will be out at select shows to try and finish this, as well as coming out as a Veteran in August onwards. 2022
Titles Earned
Vedder was #5 Weimaraner in CKC Agility for 2022.Vedder was awarded her VX (Versatility Excellent) title from the Weimaraner Association of Canada in January 2022. She also earned her VB (Versatility Bronze) based on previous titles, but it was awarded in February 2022. Vedder started the year with whelping a lovely strong litter of puppies (6 males and 1 female) sired by Volt (GCH Luminate GraytSky Von Silberweiss Jager JH). They were born January 30, 2022. The three show puppies have already garnered a lot of notice in the show ring with multiple Best Baby Puppy in Shows (CKC), Best Novice Puppy in Show (UKC), and Puppy Match Group 1st (AKC), and Best Puppy in Groups (CKC). A fourth puppy from the litter is also looking promising and should be hitting the show ring in 2023. 2022 was a lighter competition year for Vedder after some complications with her last pregnancy and focussing on Mako's puppy career, but she still earned the titles above, picked up some points towards her Grand Champion Bronze title (which we hope to finish in 2023) and earned #6 Owner Handled Weimaraner in Canada only being out at 3 shows owner-handled. We continued to train in the bird field in 2022, but were limited due to environmental conditions. We hope to try for Vedder's FD in the future. We are still training in Agility and Rally with aims of earning higher titles. She currently has 1 leg towards her Novice Points and Distance title (NP), and 1 leg towards her Jumps and Tunnels title (JT). We are training towards Rally Advanced for AKC and Rally Excellent in CKC. We are also training for traditional obedience, with a goal of hopefully earning a CD title in 2023. She completed her Sprinter Excellent title in July 2022, and is now essentially retired from Sprinter. 2021
Titles Earned
**Vedder finished tied for #2 Weimaraner in CKC Agility for the year 2019**Vedder was the first Weimaraner in the world to her her Trick Dog Grand Champion title in January 2021. We continued to train in the bird field in 2021, and hopefully try for the next title (FD) in the future. If we can, at some point we'd like to try and achieve her AKC Championship. We are still training in Agility and Rally with aims of earning higher titles. She earned her Intermediate Standard Select title (AGIS) in August 2021, 1 leg towards her Novice Points and Distance title (NP), and 1 leg towards her Jumps and Tunnels title (JT). She earned her CKC Rally Advanced in October 2021. She has completed her Sprinter (S) title in June 2021 and her Advanced Sprinter (AS) title in November 2021. 2020
Titles Earned
**Vedder finished as the #1 Weimaraner in CKC Agility for the year 2020**While COVID disrupted some plans for 2020, we did get back out in the field a little, and she did manage to earn the 5 titles above. She is well on her way to her Sprinter title, and we were doing further training in Agility and Rally. Vedder had her second litter in September 2020 (Vedder x Bentley), the "Gambling" litter. We co-own and are showing two of those puppies (Yahtzee and Cooper). 2019
Titles Earned
**Vedder finished tied for #2 Weimaraner in CKC Agility for the year 2019** Vedder earned EIGHT titles in 2019. Vedder whelped a beautiful litter of 6 puppies (5 males, 1 female) on April 2019 - the "First" litter. She was bred to Kruz. You can see more about them here. Our co-owned pups from that litter are Marlowe (MBNPIS Wynder's At First Sight) and Lewis (BBPIS Wynder's Who's On First CGN TT NS). Both boys carried on in their mother's pawprints by earning Best Baby/Novice Puppy in Show awards at 4 months old. She completed her Novice, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert Trick Dog titles, earned her UKC Rally Level 1 (UR01) and SPOT-ON titles. She went to US Nationals in Ohio, and earned her Novice Shooting Dog, 2 legs towards her US Rally Novice title (including a 99 and second in class), and made the cut in a huge bred-by class at the regional specialty. This meant she was awarded a Tri-Athlete award which was so very exciting! Coming back to Canada, she earned her Rally Intermediate title with 3 straight qualifying runs, and a bonus leg where we came first in class. Vedder earned her first two legs for her Novice Agility Standard Select title in December 2019, with two FIRST in class placings! We are looking forward to more Agility competitions in the future. Vedder came out to show in December 2019 for a fun spin in the ring, and won a huge best of breed at the Weimaraner Association of Canada's booster in conjunction with the Caledon Kennel Association shows. She also made the cut in an extremely competitive group. 2018
Titles Earned
Vedder completed her Field Dog Junior (FDJ) title in May 2018. She completed it with 3 straight passes, plus an extra leg - since we were already entered. Most of 2018 was spent dabbling in the show ring and doing further training for field, rally, obedience, and we began agility training as well. 2017
TITLES EARNED
Vedder debuted in the "big dog" classes at 7 months old at the Ontario Breeders Association shows in March 2017. She was entered for 2 days and did extremely well, winning her Junior Puppy class (with competition), Winners (defeating 2 other girls), Best of Winners, Best Puppy in Breed and Best Breeder/Owner handled in breed. This gave her 2 points on Saturday under Judge David Gilmour, and 2 points again on Sunday under Judge Lee Anne Bateman. We thank the judges for finding our girl. She earned her CGN at the Scarborough Kennel Club show in March 2017. She finished her Canadian Championship in very limited showing, only 4 weekends. She finished with all majors (2 or more points earned at a time, except for one single point win. Her final 2 points came as a Best of Breed over a special (a dog that is already a champion), under judge Lynda Saranchuk. In true versatile fashion, Vedder went to one day of the South Western Ontario Sporting Breed Club show in July 2017 and she participated in both Rally Novice and Conformation. She took Best of Breed and Best Puppy in Breed in the Conformation ring, and also earned the first 2 legs of her Rally Novice title, all in the same day. Her first leg was extremely impressive as she took high in class with a score of 94! Vedder completed her Rally Novice title at the Muskoka & District Kennel Club shows in Gravenhurst on October 28, 2017. Vedder was entered in the GMDF Temperament Test in August 2017, and passed with flying colours, as the youngest dog in the test. Vedder earned her UKC Championship in one weekend with a group placement each show of the four shows. On the Saturday, Vedder earned a Group 3rd (6 breeds in the group) under Gregory Storms, and Group 2nd (5 breeds in the group) under Eleanor Heagy. On the Sunday, she earned a Group 2nd under Linda Philp (her required third competition win, group ring had 8 breeds), and a Group 3rd (7 breeds in the group) under David Kittredge for her final 25 points. Vedder took a huge 4 point Best of Opposite Sex win as a special at the Cornwall Limited Group 1 show in September 2017, the same weekend as our the Weimaraner Regional Specialty. She finished her Canadian Grand Championship in limited showing in November 2017, at 15 months of age. Vedder was out in the bird field in Summer 2017 and it paid off when she got her first two legs towards her Field Dog Junior (FDJ) title on September 16, 2017. She has a beautiful point. 2016
